The idea for Sheep Pen Glamping came to Abby back in 2019. After receiving many comments on how tranquil and beautiful the old sheep pen field was, she felt that by developing a small glamping site others could also enjoy these amazing surroundings. Although only a short drive to the local shops, pubs and restaurants, once in the field it feels like you’re miles from anywhere and is the perfect place to switch off, unwind and get closer to nature.  

 

Tucked away in a quiet corner of a busy working farm in the heart of the South Wales Valleys, the

two self contained rustic huts are named after our sheepdogs Dell and Lass. Both are fully insulated, have underfloor heating and can be used in comfort all year round. Lass also has a wood burning stove for added cosiness for when the Welsh weather is doing it’s worst.

 

Although the style is based around that of the traditional shepherd’s hut the accommodation has the convenience of an ensuite shower and w/c - no need for an outside midnight dash!  Both huts have a private wood burning hot tub which offer stunning views of the onsite lily pond and surrounding rural landscape, a great place to relax at the end of the day.

 

Both Dell and Lass sleep two in a  full size double bed, have a well equipped kitchen area with microwave, hot plate and small fridge. For those who want to try a more authentic glamping experience there is a BBQ / fire pit area, just right for toasting marshmallows or for romantic evenings spent under the stars.
